The last night for the lights.

Leigh Ann Greene said many people were eating dinner when they visited since there was a concession stand.

After illuminating the sky for the past month, Saturday night was the final time for this year’s “Christmas on the Farm” at Greene Acres Farm. It featured the Tripp Family Christmas Lights display. The Greene’s took over the display a few years ago when family health issues forced the Tripp’s to quit doing it.

While the lights and visits with Santa (until he left to deliver toys then went back to the North Pole) were the main attractions, there were new things for this year. A fire pit was added. For a small fee, people could purchase marshmallows to roast over it.

Also new this year was a concession stand. Operated by area group Touching Lives Ministry, they offered items including hot dogs and fries.. Leigh Ann Greene, who co-owns the farm with husband James, said they were glad to be able to keep the tradition of the Tripp Christmas Lights going.

She also said they plan to add another fire pit and will have more events in the future. You can learn more about Green Acres Farm by going to https://www.tsfgreeneacres.com as well as search for them on Facebook.

Though Santa had gone for the year, the Grinch was still out and about.
