Region play resumed Tuesday night for BCHS at home versus Washington County. Both the Lady Royals and Royals had early leads but neither could sustain them.

The Lady Royals led 11-10 after one quarter and were down just four points at halftime thanks to a Jayda James basket at the buzzer. But BC was outscored 29-7 in the third. It was the second time in a week being outscored by 20 points in a quarter. Last week Lamar County outscored them 23-2 in the third.

Tuesday night's game sponsors were Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Citizens Bank of Cochran, La Cabana and OrthoGeorgia. Pictured with boys head coach Garrett Collins L-R are Dr. Lane Collins, BJ Coody, Matt Fordham, and Dr. Zaneb Yassen.

They were outscored 27-8 in the third quarter of last Friday’s lost at Northeast. Washington County won 73-46. Jalexia Taylor had 22 points.

Shon Jenkins made this three.

A 12-11 second quarter lead by the Royals was erased by the Golden Hawks 13-2 run to end the half. Down 13 going to the fourth, BC managed just nine points in losing 53-34. Ethan Hulsey had nine points.
