BCMS played their first games in a week Thursday afternoon at East Laurens. After a sweep of the Lady Falcons and Falcons earlier this season, East Laurens returned the favor.

Trailing 21-6 at halftime, the Lady Barons were outscored 16-3 in the third. They lost 42-17.

The Barons trailed by as many as eight in the first half but were within 28-25 at halftime. After taking a four-point lead in the third, EL closed with a 9-2 burst to again go up three. BC missed four consecutive free throws to end the quarter.

Down by as many as seven in the fourth, Nykez Farrow’s three with 1:17 left cut the deficit to three. But there would be no comeback as the Barons suffered their first loss of the season 51-46. Teams return home January 25 to face Dodge County at 4 pm.
