The Middle Georgia State Foundation is seeking donors to invest in the future success of the University. To help in that goal, they announced the public phase of the “Building a Legacy of Greatness Capital Campaign” Thursday.

According to a release, hopes to raise more than $11 million, is intended to help fund increased student scholarships, strengthen the University’s academic programming, recruit and retain quality faculty, expand student athletic programs and enhance professional development. The campaign has raised $10.2 million thus far.

The final phase was launched during a virtual event held Thursday night. MGA President Christopher Blake was joined by Foundation Board Chair Stephen Daugherty and Campaign Chair Bob Hatcher.

Some of the things funded from the campaign include almost half a million dollars in support to health sciences academic programs, funded $65,000 in direct COVID-19 aid for MGA students and supported other programs and initiatives across the University.
