Caleb Senters tags out a runner trying to stretch a single into a double.

BCHS faced a tough region test Friday night in 11-3 Monticello. The Royals got off to a rocky start but picked up play to get the win.

Eli Mullis sets to throw to first after fielding a bunt.

A bases loaded no outs opportunity was squandered in the first. Two on, one out in the second ended with a double play. Down 1-0 in the third, Willie Harris erased the deficit with his first home run of the season.

Ethan Hulsey gets under a ball in right field.

Conner Senters’ RBI groundout was part of a three-run fifth. Eli Mullis had a double in a three-run sixth. Brody Little stranded two runners in the seventh to complete the Royals 8-1 win. He struck out seven, walked three in seven innings.

Matthew Huff tracks down a ball in left field.

Harris was 1 for 2. Ethan Hulsey went 2 for 3. Bleckley hosts Lamar County March 23 at 5:45 pm.
