The BCHS football cheerleaders had a great year as they supported Royals football during their run to the elite eight. Though BC fell to Rabun, that day was special as the squad got to spend a full day together as they made the trip.

For the competition squad, their season was delayed until December due to COVID-19. Then days before their first competition, a change to the routine had to be made. Despite those setbacks, BCHS won region for the first time since 2014 and had their best finish at state since 2005, placing second.

As there were just five girls who didn’t cheer on both squads, a combination football and competition banquet was held Sunday at Traditions. As per usual, everyone received letter certificates. Senior football squad members were given monogramed megaphones and their uniforms. Both senior groups also were given scrapbooks.
