While getting a first place trophy at an invitational competition is always good, the main goal is always to improve, build for region and state. At the East Laurens Falcon Frenzy, BCHS was able to improve from last week and bring home their second top finish of the season.

The Royals were the first in the division to perform. A chant of “Let’s Go Bleckley” started in the moments before they entered the gym. The group of family and friends in attendance saw a performance improved from last week.

Mainly, the pyramid. It stuck completely. Tumbling was again solid, high energy, good jumps. The only miscues were one of the single-base stunts coming down early, and one of the stunts in the stunt groups not going.

Otherwise, it was a good day on the mat. That would be confirmed when Bleckley was announced as AA division champion. Even better, their score improved by 2.5 points.

The squad with coaches Heather Davis and Allie Smith.
