Bleckley Elementary fifth graders received copies of Dr. Ben Carson’s book “Willing Hands” in February. Students could do an essay on it to be evaluated by their teacher.
The top student in each class would receive a $50 Bleckley Bucks gift certificate. Last week, Cochran Rotary Club President BJ Coody along with representatives from Oconee Fall Line Technical College, came to BCES to help recognize the winners.
The winners were: Emilee Evans, Eve Mullis, Seabie Cone, Kinsley Rhodes, Adella Weaver, Aubree Freeman, Ray Girtman, Ayden Raffield, Zachary Moreno and Brodeigh Byram.
Coody, OFTC representatives, as well as BCES Principal Hillary Barker and assistant principal Dr. Jenna Maddox, are in the photos.
