It was the final games before Christmas break and an early start time as BCHS hosted Vidalia in games which began at noon. While the Lady Royals won big, the Royals offense was ice cold.

BC used a 12-2 second quarter run to erase an early deficit and lead 22-18 at halftime. Bleckley led by as many as 11 in the third and was up 41-34 going to the fourth. Vidalia got within five but a 17-2 Lady Royals finish carried them to a 57-40 win.

Despite only making three baskets, the Royals were within 16-11 at halftime. Down 12 in the third, Patrick Roberts’ two three-point shots were part of a 12-2 run that saw the deficit shrink to three to begin the fourth.

However, the offense completely dried up. BC had no baskets and scored just two points in losing 47-25. Nykez Farrow had 10 points. The boys travel to Banks County to play Athens Christian December 27. The next home game for both teams is January 3 against East Laurens.
