Looking back at a good year for local sports.

It was a good year for local sports teams (school and rec. department) filled with great finishes and accomplishments. Here’s a look at the highlights.

Winter 2024:
The BCHS boys basketball team had their best finish since the 2012-13 season by making it to the elite eight.

Spring 2024:
BCHS girls soccer made it to the elite eight. Royals baseball won region and made it to the elite eight. Both the BCHS boys and girls track teams won region with the girls finishing state runner up. Barons baseball had their best finish since the playoff format was switched to top four teams, finishing regio runner up. BCMS boys track finished region runner up.

Summer 2024:
Both the 6u and 8u rec. department all star baseball teams won Dixie Youth State titles. The 6u team finished fifth at the world series, the 8u finished world series runner up. Both teams received the sportsmanship award. The 8u softball team won the Diamond Youth state title.

Fall 2024:
Both BCHS cross country teams won region and state. BC also had the top individual for both races for the first time in school history. BCMS softball had their best finish since 2017 finishing region runner up. The BCMS cheerleaders finished region runner up. The BCMS boys cross country team won region and state, the girls finished region runner up and state runner up.
