Local senior living community At Home Senior Living recently celebrated with resident Ruth Wells as she turned 100 years old!

Ms. Ruth Wells (contributed.)

Throughout her lifetime, Ruth has lived in 4 states, moving with her husband Herb and their two daughters, Judy and Shari. She taught the sciences in her home state of Arkansas, endured the weather in the Northwest part of Ohio, enjoyed the city of St. Louis, and now the southern charm of Middle Georgia.

Ruth taught a total of 44 years, and touched many lives throughout her career. She retired from Dodge County High School after 15 years. Overall, Ruth has lived a life of service to her family, her church, and others. After retirement, she assisted in coordinating Meals on Wheels, worked with the Backpack program in Dodge County and was involved in Joy Fellowship with her church. She cooked many Wednesday night suppers for her church for many years. She was honored at a G.L.O.W. (Georgia Legacy of Older Women) due to her life of service as a Senior.

Living alone for 99 years, Ruth recently moved to At Home Senior Living in Cochran, Georgia and is enjoying her new home.

When asked the secret of living to be 100 years old, she states, " Do everyday as you should, and the Lord will see you through".
