Good season by football team celebrated.

It was a very emotional season for Royals football, with six of seven losses coming by four points or less. Despite that, BC did make the playoffs, advancing to the second round of state.

As has been the case in recent years, players, coaches, and families gathered together this past Super Bowl Sunday at the First Baptist Church Summit to celebrate the season.

There were numerous awards handed out. Winners were as follows. Tom Porter FCA Christian Athlete award, Offensive MVP- Kam Everett. Jimmy Kilpatrick Leadership Award, Most Outstanding Linebacker, Defensive MVP, Captain’s Award- Tyrek Mack.

Sam Barrs Leadership Award, Captain’s Award- Tug Pasby. Most Outstanding Special Teams Player- Ford Childers. Impact Freshman- Landry Nobles. Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Brent DuBois Strongman Award- TJ Fountain.

Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman- Jamary Elvine. Most Outstanding Defensive Back- Nykez Farrow. Most Outstanding Wide Receiver- Kaden Perkins. Most Outstanding Offensive Back-Zyion Love. Ben Dykes Hustle Award (offense) DQ Benjamin.

Don Turknett Hustle Award (defense)- Amarian Burns. Coaches Award- Lakeivies Johnson. Captain’s Award- JB Blackshear. Scholar Athletes- Brandon Jones, Conner Cairney, Brody Fleming, Austin Smith. Congratulations to all the award winners.
