BCHS came into Friday’s region semifinal against top seed Dublin on a high note following their comeback win at Dodge County Wednesday. They were facing an Irish team that hadn’t played in a week. Dublin had defeated Bleckley 56-46 when the two teams met during the season in Cochran.

Dublin led by one after one quarter and used a 14-3 run in the second to lead 30-19 at halftime. A deficit of 16 points would get to four in the third and Bleckley was within six going to the fourth.

The Irish again tried to pull away, going up by 15. BC though would try to rally and got within five points with under a minute left. However, unlike Wednesday, Dublin made free throws down the stretch and won 59-50.
Nykez Farrow scored 13 points, Jamary Elvine had 10 points. The Royals face East Laurens in a consolation game Saturday afternoon, tip time 5:30 pm.
