The Bleckley County Board of Education met in what was a fairly short meeting Tuesday night. Most of the news came from the executive session.
Approved were the resignations of Anna Brown, Bleckley Elementary teacher and assistant competition and football squad cheer coach, and Mike Brannon, BCHS teacher and former coach and head athletic trainer, effective at the end of the school year. Approved was Chara Keel as C.O.T.A (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.) for Bleckley Primary and Allie (Keel) Foskey as a BCPS teacher.
As per usual in cases where a family member is involved, board member Brandon Keel abstained from the vote. The only other item of note was approval of the FY26 Bleckley Primary Student Handbook. Click the link to read.

The FY Superintendent’ Student Advisory Board was recognized. Each member received a certificate and a Dairy Queen gift card. According to board minutes, the meeting dismissed at 7:30 pm.
