Bleckley Memorial names new CEO.

John Roland has been named the new CEO of Bleckley Memorial Hospital. According to a release, the Board of Directors made the appointment on April 10.

Roland began his career with the Taylor Healthcare Group as an ICU nurse in 2004. He was appointed Chief Nursing Officer of BMH in 2010 and added the title of Chief Operating Officer in 2016.

He was named “Nurse Executive of the Year” by Hometown Health, a network of rural hospitals in the Southeast, in 2014 and 2023. Bleckley Memorial was named Hospital of the Year by Hometown Health in 2024.

Roland is a lifetime resident of Bleckley County. He has a wife, Jodi, and two sons, Horton and Jacob-Mathis.
