After spending the last two weeks on the road for a scrimmage at Wilcox then the season opener versus Rutland in Macon, BCHS was home for the first of four regular season home games as they took on East Laurens. The Royals had little trouble defeating the Falcons.

The Royals fumbled on their first possession, Josh Stanley Jr. was stripped of the ball following an incredible leaping catch. However, BC would force their own fumble on the Falcons first drive, it was recovered by Terrollieo Brimidge.

EL would fumble again in the first quarter, this time fumbling a punt return. It was recovered by Kix Foskey at the Falcon 22. BC capitalized via a Deondrez Robertson two-yard touchdown pass. With 4:15 left in the first, it was 7-0 Royals.

Brady Fleming to Stanley for 12 yards late in the first made it 13-0 BC as the extra point was blocked. The ensuing squib kick was recovered by Kelvin Sneed at the Falcon 11. On the next play, Fleming connected with Connor Cairney for six. The point after was good and BC took a 20-0 lead to the second quarter.

The Falcon defense would get a stop in the second quarter, holding BC on a fourth and short from the Falcon 17. But the Royals would strike again, this time on a 40-yard pass from Fleming to Stanley. The Royals took a 27-0 lead to the dressing room at halftime.

Stanley scored again in the third, this time on defense. He picked a Falcon pass off and returned it 27 yards to the endzone. Though the PAT was again blocked, it was 33-0 Royals.
A blocked punt set up the final score of the night. Brody Arnold blocked a punt with about four minutes left in the third. The offense was set up at the Falcon 38.

The drive ended with a Fleming to Octavius Tate 21-yard touchdown reception. Stanley got his second interception of the game late in the third. In the fourth, the Falcons got another strip sack and returned the ball to the Royal 15. But the BC defense preserved the shutout as Bleckley won 40-0.

Fleming was 16 of 29 for 312 yards and four scores. Stanley caught six passes for 192 yards with two touchdowns. Tate caught six passes for 68 yards and one score.
The Royals play at Southwest September 4. Game time is 7:30 pm at Thompson Stadium.
