BCHS was in the midst of a rough stretch going into Thursday’s game against Dodge County. Losers of three of four games, the Lady Royals had averaged about 3 runs a game and had less than 10 hits in all of them.

Trailing 3-1 going to the bottom of the fourth Thursday, BC tied the game on RBI hits by Rayea Dominy and Zoey Adams. They scored two in the fifth to go up 5-3. Dodge got the leadoff batter on in the seventh via an error but she was left stranded as Bleckley held on 5-3.

The Lady Royals had 10 hits. Dominy was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Jana Tomlin was 3 for 3. Bleckley plays at East Laurens September 16. Game time is 6 pm.
