Good Lady Barons softball season celebrated.

This softball season was a season of firsts for Lady Barons head coach Chance Pittman. As he stated in remarks during Monday night’s awards banquet, it was his first year coaching middle school, first year coaching softball, and first year coaching girls.

Sixth grade players.


It proved to be a good first season for Pittman as he, along with assistants Caroline Chappelear and Kaylee Rae Barrs, led the Lady Barons to a region runner up finish. The season and player achievement were celebrated Monday night.

All the players received gift bags and their athletic certificates. Specific awards were as follows. Academic award: Blakelyn Bessenbacher, Cai Cumbee, Emily Ferrell, Augusta Finch, Krista Grace Sims, Kate Skipper, London Stephens, Gracie Terry, Raylann Widner, Kate Williams.

Most Improved- Anilah Love. Utility Award- Kate Williams. Coaches Award- Addison Fish. Pitcher of the Year- Ja'Leia Fredrick. Defensive Player of the Year- Jeriyah Evans. Offensive Player of the Year- Sarah Vaughn. MVP- Augusta Finch.
