Pitbulls announce delay in delievery of Coca Cola products.
Due to complications involving paperwork with Coca Cola, drinks purchased from our fundraiser will not be available until later this week. We appreciate all those who helped our fundraiser by purchasing drinks and apologize for not delivering when advertised. Thank you for your patience.

Sunday evening, halls of many Bleckley schools were filled with prayers as the annual prayer walk was held to coincide with the upcoming start of the school year.

Cochran Firefighters doing their part to help "Jerry's Kids."

| Saturday, members of the Cochran Fire Department were out on a "boot drive" solicting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Fire departments are a longtime supporter of the MDA. Those interested in helping the Cochran firefighters in their battle against muscular dystrophy can drop off donations at the station located on first street. |

Bleckley resident crowned Miss Warner Robins Outstanding Teen.

| Jessi Young, a junior at BCHS, was crowned the 2011 Miss Warner Robins Outstanding Teen on July 31. Contestants were scored on interview, talent, fitness, evening gown, and on-stage questions. Young was tops in talent, evening gown, and questions. Both Young and 2011 Miss Warner Robins winner Mandy Best chose Rleay for Life as their platofmrs. The two queens will promote the Relay during their reigns. Young will compete in the Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen Pagent in June of 2011 in Columbus. It's held in conjunction with the Miss Georgia Pagent. |

Local church's VBS photo makes finals of VBS photo contest.

| This photo (taken during Bethany Baptist's 2010 Vacation Bible School) was one of 12 finalists in the 2010 VBS Photo Contest sponsored by LifeWay. LifeWay is a Christian bookstore chain as well as a provider of themes and materials for Vacation Bible Schools. This year's theme at Bethany was "Saddle Ridge." The photo was submitted by church member Marcia Manning. |
