GHSA announces classifications for 2022-24.

The Georgia High School Association announced classifications for schools for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. A multiplier implemented for out of zone students attending schools caused several changes such as Bremen and Vidalia to be moved to 3A. BCHS will remain a class 2A school with an FTE count of 652, 73 out of zone students (out of county) and a reclassification count of 798. Appeals will be heard on November 10. [ Visit Website ]

BCHS Cheerleaders to host second annual "Battle at the Kingdom." November 6.

Bleckley County High School competition cheerleaders will host the second annual “Battle at the Kingdom” November 6. Doors open at 10:30 am, start time is 11. BCMS will perform an exhibition at 11:10. High school competition begins at 11:31. Schools performing are as follows: Veterans HS, Houston County, Dublin, Johnson County, Luella, Perry, Sumter County, Dodge County, East L:aurens, KPP Atlanta, and Bleckley County (scores only) at 12:31 pm. Tickets are available on gofan.co for $7 and will be sold at the door for $8. Kids three and under are free.

All three Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department All Star football teams will play in an invitational tournament in Hawkinsville starting November 8. Schedules for each division are posted.
