Another tournament, another top finish for KOHR 7u baseball team.

(Photo contributed.) KOHR Baseball 7u went undefeated en route to finishing first place in a tournament played in Gwinnett County this past weekend. The top finish marks the seventh straight and pushes their record to 25-0. KOHR 7u is currently ranked #1 in Georgia travel ball organizations.

Bleckley FFA Forestry team wins Stephens County event.

First place finishers included Levi Arnold (JR): land measurement, Kiley Adkins & Lillie Tyler (JR): Forest Management, Alexis Christian (JR): Board Foot Volume Estimation, Lane Teagle (SR: Cord Volume Estimation, Shelby Peavy (SR: Land Measurement. The team travels to Sandersville next week for the Washington County Forestry Field Day

Soccer teams split with Swainsboro.

McKenzie Perkins and Nyra Waters both scored as the Lady Royals won 3-2 at Swainsboro Tuesday night in overtime. The Royals lost 2-0. BCHS hosts Dublin March 14. Girls play at 5 pm with boys to follow.

Special recognition at city council meeting.

Before the regular business of Tuesday night�s monthly city council meeting took place, there was special recognition. Former council members Keith Anderson and Andrew Lemmon were recognized for the years of service to the city. They�re pictured L-R with Mayor Billy Yeomans (center.)

Julie Peech was recognized for her time as assistant to City Manager Richard Newbern. Pictured are both together.

Seth Bowman from Public Works was recognized as the City Employee of the Quarter. He�s pictured with Public Works Director Willie Farrow. City council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month in the city auditorium at 6 pm.

Tennis teams win versus A.C.E.

BCHS tennis won home matches played Tuesday afternoon versus A.C.E. Boys won 5-0. Wins came via Wyc Herrington, Deacon Farrell, Drew Floyd, Reagan Scott and Jack Tripp, John Teston and Jay Faulk. The girls won 4-1. Wins came from Presley DuBois, Taylor Herndon, Anna Grace Dykes and Kiley Pilgrim, Ashlyn Bivona and Lucy Herrington. BC returns to action March 17 in McRae against Telfair County at 4 pm.
