Former Royal has delayed but successful first football season.

Former BCHS football player Willie Chambers is a member of the Reinhardt University football team, having signed with the Eagles to play football and continue his education there last year. Chambers� first season was delayed due to COVID-19, but it turned out to be a successful one as Reinhardt won the 2021 Mid-South Conference Appalachian division with an 8-0 record .

Individuals shine at Middle Georgia Classic golf event.

BCHS Golf hosted the third annual Middle Georgia Classic Monday afternoon at Uchee Trail. The fields were composed of eight boys and seven girls teams. Both the Lady Royals and Royals finished fifth, with each having an exciting individual finish. Lucy Wiegert was girls low medalist with a score of 82. Ty Cranford was boys co-low medalist, both he and Ian Glanton of Metter shot a 72. The two squared off in a sudden death playoff to determine top finisher. Glanton prevailed on the third hole of the playoff. Head coach Dave Wiegert was very happy with how both teams played. With postseason play just around the corner, he�s seeing positives he wants to see in his players.

Tennis teams lose at FPD.

BCHS tennis was swept in matches played at FPD Macon Monday afternoon. Scores of both were 1-4. The teams return to action April 13 for region tournament play.

Royals rout Golden Hawks.

(Photos of each player courtesy contributor.) J.R. Fordham, Brody Little, and Willie Harris all homered as BCHS won 22-0 at Washington County Monday afternoon. Little went 3 for 4 from the plate with 5 RBI and also gave up just two hits. Fordham was 3 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Matthew Bland went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI. Conner Senters went 1 for 2. The Royals and Golden Hawks will play tomorrow in Cochran at 5:45 pm.
