 Middle School Sports
Baseball team has little trouble at Swainsboro.

Layne Boutwell gave up three hits over five innings, striking out six, and was also 2 for 2 from the plate with 1 RBI as BCMS won 10-0 at Swainsboro Monday afternoon. Dylan Lamb went 2 for 2 with a double and 3 RBI. Brayden Hill went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI. Kix Foskey was 2 for 2 with a double and 1 RBI. Thomas Williams and Brody Arnold each went 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Bleckley hosts Byron Middle School tomorrow at 4:30 pm.

BCHS Literary wins region championship.

First place Boy’s Quartet- Sedarian Nelson, Zach Gilbert, Josh Hataway, and Jaxon Davis. First place Girl’s Trio- Anna Grace Dykes, Ashleigh Hendricks, and Santana Nix. First place Humorous Oral Interpretation-Carter Willingham. First place Literary Analysis Essay - Ellen Arnold. Second Place Girl’s Solo- Bianca Vincent. Second Place Dramatic Oral Interpretation- Lila Dykes. Second Place Duo Oral Interpretation-Sedarian Nelson and Logan Davis. Second Place Argumentative Essay- Scout Totty. Third Place Boy’s Solo-Jaxon Davis. Third Place Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking -Stella Green. Fifth place International Extemporaneous Speaking -Jed Ledbetter. Fifth place Personal Essay -Julie Arnold. All first place winners advance to state competition March 22 at Bremen High School.
