Lady Barons cruise past Dodge County.

Augusta Finch had a grand slam to cap off an 11-run first inning as BCMS dispatched Dodge County 12-0 Monday afternoon. Anilah Love had the game-clinching double in the fourth. Finch finished 2 for 3 with a triple and 6 RBI. Love went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI. Ja'Leia Fredrick was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI. Kate Skipper was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI> Eighth grade recognition will be Wednesday when BCMS has their home finale versus East Laurens. Ceremonies will be at 4 pm with the game at 4:30.

Mobile Food Pantry in Cochran September 18.

The Middle Georgia Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry will be at Tabernacle of Testimony, 188 Dinah Street, this Thursday from 11 am until 2 pm or until all supplies run out. It is a drive-thru event, please stay in your car upon arrival.

Local musical talent on display at Second Saturday.

Local talent was on display Saturday night for the Chamber of Commerce�s monthly Second Saturday Music and Food Trucks event. Soup performed first, the band is made up of BCHS alums and does alternative rock. Next was Seven Bridges Serenade, a duo performing country music consisting of Jeremy Haynes and Cochran native Scarlett Haynes. The next Second Saturday event will be October 11 and will again feature local talent. Performing will be the Daniel and Tim Project consisting of Daniel Nesmith and Tim Darsey. Both are Cochran natives, their performances feature acoustic performances of 90�s music.

Sorry things have been extra slow recently.

I've been lagging because of yet another sinus infection, getting more tired, needing longer rest before I update the site. I was going to an ENT Friday, but had to move the appointment to this Monday morning as the doctor had a medical emergency Friday. Please know that while I might move slower, I am moving and continuing to cover the community to the best of my abiity.
