Dylan Lamb hit a three-run homer during a nine-run third inning BCMS used to take control of their game against East Laurens Tuesday afternoon. Three runs in the fourth, along with single runs in the fifth and sixth, the final coming on an Eli Parks single, gave the Barons a 15-5 win and a sweep of the season series. Brayden Foskey went 2 for 3. Brayden Hill was 2 for 5 with a double and 2 RBI. Thomas Williams went 2 for 5 with 1 RBI. Layne Boutwell was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Bleckley hosts Jeff Davis tomorrow at 4:30 pm.

Royals cruise past Northeast.

Braegan Cravey homered, driving in four, as BCHS won handily at Northeast 18-3 Tuesday afternoon. Cravey was 2 for 3. Gavin Cole went 3 for 3 with two doubles and 3 RBI. Josh Dillard was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Walker Boatright was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Austin Yourn wen 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Bleckley travels to Emanuel County Institute tomorrow, game time 6 pm.

Barons tennis advances to MGMSAA Championship match.

The BCMS boys tennis team advanced to Thursday’s MGMSAA region title match with a 5-0 home win against Jeff Davis Tuesday afternoon. The girls play at Jeff Davis tomorrow at 4 pm.

The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank mobile food pantry will be at Tabernacle of Testimony March 27 from 11 an to 2 pm at Tabernacle of Testimony, 188 Dinah Street. As it is a drive-thru event, please stay in your car upon arrival.

The Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce held their annual awards banquet this past Saturday evening in the Presidential Dining Room at Middle Georgia State University. The theme was “Business in Bloom.” Several awards were presented. They are as follows. Business of the Year: Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Large Business of the Year: Citizens Bank of Cochran. Small Business of the Year: Treasures on Second. Legacy Business of the Year: La Cabana. Community Impact Award: Georgia Canine Rescue & Rehabilitation. Ellen Arnold was named STAR Student and chose Wes Young as STAR Teacher. Public Figure awards went to: Kenji White, William “Tiger” Odom, Daniel Cape, and Jeff Trawick.
