BCHS athletes participate in sophomore all star game.

(Photos contributed.) Four sophomore athletes from Bleckley County High School participated in the GACA Sophomore All Star Football Game played December 27 in Macon. Zayden Lassiter and Brody Fleming played in the game. Presley Goins and Kayla Lumley were both named members of the GACA Sophomore All Star Spirit Cheerleading Squad.

Despite trailing by as many as 16 points in the second half, the Lady Royals were able to draw within seven at one point. But they could get no closer and lost 69-56. Ava Jenkins had 22 points. Camaya Harris had 11 points. The Warhawks used a 7-0 burst over the final 1:43 to edge the Royals 56-50. Kam Everett scored 16 points. Jamary Elvine had 12 points. Region play resumes January 17 at Southwest. Tip time is 6 pm.

Great competition cheer season celebrated.

The squad received several gifts including this shirt.
After struggling due to inexperience last year, the BCMS Competition Cheerleaders were back to being successful, bringing home trophies form every competition including region. The season was celebrated Tuesday night.
