Special training held at Bleckley County Fire Department.

Using a grant from the Georgia Emergency Medical Service Association, the Bleckley County Fire Department recently hosted (TECC) Tactical Emergency Casualty Care training. It was a 16-hour class over two days which featured both a written test and skills training. Attending were first responders from both Bleckley and Twiggs counties including the Bleckley County Fire Department and Heartland EMS.

Barons outslug Chiefs to earn split in season series.

Thomas Williams went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles and 2 RBI as BCMS avenged their earlier home loss to J.R. Trippe with a 13-8 victory in Vidalia Wednesday afternoon. Brayden Foskey went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI. Kix Foskey was 2 for 4 with two doubles and 1 RBI. Bleckley plays at East Laurens tomorrow. Game time is 5:30 pm.

Tennis teams win at Dodge County.

BCMS swept matches played at Dodge County Wednesday afternoon. Scores of both were 5-0. The team's regular season finale is March 18 at home versus J.R. Trippe at 4 pm.

Another tournament, another top finish for KOHR 7u baseball team.

(Photo contributed.) KOHR Baseball 7u went undefeated en route to finishing first place in a tournament played in Gwinnett County this past weekend. The top finish marks the seventh straight and pushes their record to 25-0. KOHR 7u is currently ranked #1 in Georgia travel ball organizations.
