Several churches had services Tuesday night. New Hope Freewill Baptist Church will have a Christmas Night Candlelight Service tomorrow night at 7 pm.

BCES students use different skills to make animals out of boxes.


(Photos courtesy Bleckley County Elementary School Facebook page.) Bleckley Elementary fifth graders “wrapped up” the semester last week with an activity that involved them using different skills. After learning about how animals were classified in science, they were grouped together and tasked making animals out of boxes. They used math to find the volume of their animal, and wrote a paragraph about it in English Language Arts.

The BCHS Beta Club held their annual Pre Christmas bake sale Monday morning to raise funds for students attending nationals. By 11:30 am, many of those participating had left as lots of the items had sold out. The Beta Club thanks everyone who stopped by in support.
