Bleckley Elementary Beta Club members qualify for nationals.

(Photo courtesy Bleckley County Elementary School Facebook page.) Bleckley County Elementary carried 43 students to the Georgia Beta Club Elementary Convention this past Wednesday in Savannah. Eight of them qualified for nationals that will be held this summer. Qualifying for state was: Apparel Design Team- Fourth Place: Sara Stewart, Sara Kate Green, Ava Collins, Alli Mote. Book Battle Team- Fourth Place:: Lillie Kay Darsey, Steven Goodroe, Tanner Arnold, Zayden Meadows. Creative Writing- Fourth Place: Presley Floyd. English Language Arts- Fifth Place: Brooklyn Carey. Recyclable Art- Fourth Place: Bentley Crittenden. Spelling- Fifth Place: Natalie Miller.

My brain has been overloaded with things happening in life this week. I'm not saying this as an excuse, but to explain that I've not had 100 percent focus on work. Therefore, I posted an incorrect middle school boys basketball score this week & forgot to mention where Caleb Darsey signed in the signing day article Wednesday. I humbly apoloize for both mistakes.

Members competed in events to secure berths to national competition which will be held this June in Orlando, Florida.
