Beloved former tennis player honored Monday afternoon.



Regan Cole was a beloved former Lady Royals tennis player who tragically passed away last year in a four-wheeler accident. She was studying to be a nurse. Monday afternoon, a program was held to honor her memory at the BCHS Tennis Courts. Many people in attendance were wearing specially made pink T-Shirts and sweatshirts designed to honor her. There were remarks from head tennis coach Brad Sanders as well as head baseball coach Brad Davis who coaches Regan’s brother Gavin. Flowers were handed out in her honor. The team had JV matches against West Laurens, the first doubles match got the opportunity to start by itself in Cole’s honor. The shirts worn are part of a fundraiser for the Regan Cole Scholarship. Anyone wishing to donate can do so by either stopping by the main office at BCHS, or mailing a check to the school, please put ‘Regan Cole Scholarship” in the memo.

Good start for baseball team at Southern Pines Invitational.

BCMS baseball began the season Saturday at the Southern Pines Invitational in Dublin. The Barons won all three games, beating Telfair County 12-2, beating Wayne County (Gold)8-3, and beat Jeff Davis 8-0. BC opens the regular season February 10 at home against J.R. Trippe. Start time is 4 pm.
