Though people use their phones to navigate, I still like to post the directions to schools that are further away as a public service. An updated section is coming in late July or early August.
What is a special announcement and how you can post one.
Special Announcements are things which you want to share that don’t fall under the news category. Running for election? Put it in as a special announcement. Offering a service such as resume preparing? Put it in a special announcement. Want to congratulate a senior, wish someone a happy birthday, or a couple a happy anniversary? Members of the BCHS baseball team were at First Baptist Church Sunday morning to honor Pastor Keith Rustin. Rustin has been pastor FBC for nearly 18 years, Royals Team Chaplain for 16 years. He is stepping down from both roles.

It was a joyous day for seniors as they bid farewell to their high school careers and took their first step toward the future. Congratulations to the Class of 2026.
City, county government offices to be closed for Memorial Day.
Both Cochran City Hall and the Bleckley County Courthouse will be closed May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
Success Academy graduation held.

Bleckley Primary held Water Day for students Thursday. Cochran Fire Department provided the water and the Bleckley County Fire Department grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for the students. BCPS thanks both for their help.
