                  The BCHS Competition and Football cheerleaders are holding a raffle for three Rovr Coolers with custom BC Tops made by Motion Marine.  Tickets are $10 each with the winners to be drawn September 25 at the Dublin game following the halftime show.  See any competition or football cheerleader or email hdavis@bleckleyschools.org to purchase tickets.  

BCHS had little trouble with former region opponent Jasper County (Monticello), beating them 35-7 Friday night.

All federal, state, and local government offices (IR: city hall, county courthouse) will be closed for Labor Day September 7.  Banks will be closed and there will be no mail delivery.  While national stores such as Walmart and Dollar General will be open, some local businesses will be closed.  You should contact the individual business regarding their status on Labor Day.

BCMS softball lost at home to West Laurens 14-2 Thursday afternoon.  Bleckley was held to three hits, Brayleigh Powell and Kate Skipper each went 1 for 2.  BC's next game is at Dodge County September 8, start time is 4:30 pm.

BCMS football lost 26-16 at West Laurens Wednesday afternoon.  They'll close out the home season September 10 against Dublin at 5 pm.   Eighth grade recognition will take place beforehand.
