Today's BCHS softball game at Dublin was rained out.  It's been rescheduled for September 28 at 5:30 pm.  Bleckley hosts Telfair County tomorrow at 5:30 pm.

BCHS built a 6-0 lead against the Lady Eagles and cruised to an 8-2 home victory Monday afternoon.

The Middle Georgia Food Pantry Mobile Food Bank will be at Tabernacle of Testimony, 188 Dinah Street,  September 24 from 11 am until 2 pm or until supplies run out.  The event is drive thru, please stay in your car upon arrival.

The last Saturday of the Cochran Farmers Market for this year will be October 10.  This is the 10th year of the market.  In an email by director Russell Davidson announcing the news, he noted the Yoder's would be there October 10 with their cakes and other baked goods.  He called the Yoder's, who come from Montezuma the "anchor" of the market and had been coming for many years. The Cochran Farmers Market runs from May to  October each on Saturdays from 8 am to noon.

  IMG_1514_20260919_213029 Jasper Faulk is an eighth grade member of the BCMS Cross Country Team.  Saturday, he competed at the Wingfoot XC Classic in Cartersville, sponsored by the Atlanta Track Club.  Faulk won the the Middle School Boys race with  a time  of 9:49.8  In a text message from head coach Shelly Cranford sharing the news, he calledWingfoot "One of the biggest, most prestigious races in the state."

While there was plenty to get excited about based upon the potential of this year's BCHS Competition Cheerleaders routine evident in their debut performance at West Laurens, there was also things which will obviously need work as the season goes on.
