Two weekends worth of Easter events at local churches. ***Updated March 24***

If you’re seeking an Easter service to attend, or an egg for your children, events will be starting this coming weekend and continuing the following Friday through Sunday. The following is a listing of known activities at local churches. To have your church’s Easter events listed, email BleckleyProgress@aol.com

March 24-
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church children’s Easter Egg hunt, 10:30 am with hot dog lunch.

March 25-
Limestone Baptist Church Palm Sunday service, 11 am.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church adult choir cantata, 11 am.

Macedonia Baptist Church egg hunt and other activities, 4 pm.

Limestone Baptist Church adult and children’s choirs musical, 6 pm.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church- Observation of the Lord’s Supper, 6 pm.

March 29-
First United Methodist Church Maundy Thursday service, 6 pm.

Limestone Baptist Church Maundy Thursday service, 7 pm.

Trinity Episcopal Church Maundy Thursday service followed by soup and sandwich fellowship, 6 pm.

March 30-
Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church “Flashlight Easter Egg hunt” and scavenger hunt for youth over age 12, 7 pm. Hot dog dinner included.

Limestone Baptist Church Good Friday service, 7 pm.
Salem Baptist Church Easter Egg hunt, 6:30 pm.
Trinity Episcopal Church Good Friday service, 6 pm.

March 31-
Bethany Baptist Church Easter Egg hunt, 9:30-11:30 am. Parents welcomed.

Christ Chapel Cochran helicopter egg drop at Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department, 2 pm.

Cochran First Church of the Nazarene annual Easter Fun Day 11 am-1 pm. Egg hunt for children 12 and under, games, crafts, food, prizes.

Grace Chapel Church of God of Prophecy community egg hunt, 3 pm. Solving the Easter mystery afterward, refreshments provided.

Limestone Baptist Church Easter Egg hunt at the softball field, 10-11 am.

Trinity Episcopal Church Holy Saturday service followed by egg hunt, 10:30 am.

April 1-
Bethany Baptist Church Sunrise Service followed by breakfast, 7 am. Sunday School, 10 am. Adult choir cantata “Worthy- The Song of the Ages,” 11 am.

Christ Chapel Cochran Sunrise service and communion, 7 am. Easter message and worship services at 9 and 10:30 am.

Cornerstone Church of Cochran Easter-themed Sunday School at 9:30 followed by special service at
10:45 am.

Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church Sunrise Service followed by continental breakfast, 7:30 am. Petting zoo with ducks, chicks, bunnies (photo booth for pictures), 9 am. Sunday School at 10 followed by Easter Cantata at 11 am.

First Baptist Church Easter message services at 8:30 and 11 am.

First United Methodist Church Easter worship service, 11 am. Children’s resurrection party during children’s church.

House of Grace free family photos from professional photographer, message “Easter for Everyone,” 10:30 am.

Lakeview Baptist Church Sunrise Service, breakfast provided by Men's Ministry, 7 am. Sunday School, 10 am. Easter Celebration Service at 11 am.

Limestone Baptist Church Sunrise Service at 7 am, Easter message at 11 am.

Macedonia Baptist Church Sunrise Service at 7 am, Easter Cantata at 11 am.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Sunrise Service followed by youth breakfast fundraiser (youth serve breakfast to raise funds for missions), 7 am. Worship at 11 am.

Salem Baptist Church Sunrise Service at 7 am, breakfast to follow. Easter worship service at 11 am.

Trinity Episcopal Church Sunrise Service at the home of Lisa and Freddy Kitchens, 345 Westside Road, 7 am. Holy Eucharist Service, 11 am.
