BCHS opened the GHSA playoffs at home against Claxton. The Royals had little trouble with the Tigers en route to a fourth straight sweet 16 berth.

Braegan Cravey

The Royals capitalized on struggling Tiger pitching. They had 15 runs on 11 hits in a 15-1 game one win. Claxton walked 10 batters. Braegan Cravey went 3 for 3 with 1 RBI. Brady Brannon was 3 for 3.

Brody Fleming

Game two was similar in that Claxton walked 10 batters but also committed eight errors. BC had 17 runs on 11 hits in a 17-1 victory. Josh Dillard and Jacob Grant combined for five no-hit innings in Grant’s pitching debut.

After game two, head coach Brad Davis was presented a plaque in honor of his 250th coaching win. He achieved the milestone on April 4 when the Royals beat East Laurens. Tuesday's victories gave him 258 career coaching wins. He is pictured with wife Coach Heather Davis and sons Kase and Cooper.

Clayton Beck was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI. Walker Boatright was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Gavin Cole went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Bleckley will host Bacon County in round two of the playoffs April 29. Game one is at 4 pm with game two to follow 30 minutes later. The *IF* game will be April 30 at 5:30 pm.
