Update on the site's and my financial health.

Yesterday, I signed a document authorizing a check to be distributed from my dad's IRA. It being available was a surprise to me. Apparently, money has to be distributed from the account every so often.

Once the check is sent, it will go into the business account. Bleckley Progress is my job, my life, and I'm putting whatever I can into it. Plus, the money will be needed for business expenses.

This check will help. But it isn't a panacea. The estate still isn't settled. And while I don't know much about stocks and IRA's, I do know that taxes have to be paid on money taken from them. Nor do I do what expenses I could have when the estate is settled.

Therefore, it's not like I can use large amounts to pay off my credit card debts at once. If by now you're wondering why I'm telling you this, the reasons are twofold. 1. Because I've shared with you different aspects of my financial situation since it's tied into the site, I believed the right thing to do would be to share this also.

2. Your help is still needed and appreciated for reasons mentioned above. To everyone who has donated, to all advertisers, thank you again. You have helped. Uncertainty though about my financial future even with the check leads me to again ask for your support as I continue to do my best to cover the community.

How can you help? There is a donate button on the top of the page. Money can be sent via PayPal to BleckleyProgress@aol.com or via Google Pay to bleckleycheerfan@gmail.com I also have a GoFundMe set up,

If you're a business owner, I'd love to have you as an advertiser. I will find room. Please understand that asking for money isn't something I enjoy. But to ensure my financial future, I feel it's a necessity. Please also know I remain committed to working as hard I as can to ensure the site covers and highlights what's happening in our community.

Thanks for your continued readership and support.
