The Winter Wonderland Express arrived in Cochran December 1 but has now left the station at Heartland EMS for the year. Saturday night was their final stop, a final chance for kids (and adults) to visit with colorful characters and see an impressive Christmas display.
After riding the trolley and getting a narrated tour of the spectacularly decorated outside, people entered into a wonderland of Christmas. There were decorations, a place to write letters to Santa, some well-known chipmunks were in concert, and a variety of colorful individuals were available for photos.
Sponsored by Pilot Club of Cochran, organizers said attendance had improved as the weather did. Over 400 people had visited as of 7 pm. Proceeds will go toward club projects.
