The Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department announced via their Facebook page today that registration for spring T-Ball, softball, and baseball was happening now through February 15. As has been the case with other sports, registration can be done via their website, cbrdrecreation.com

As part of the post, it was announced sanctioning for softball would be switching from GRPA (Georgia Recreation and Parks Association) to Dixie Softball. Baseball switched sanctioning to Dixie Youth in 2015.

The 8u division will be coach pitch, 10u live pitch. Non-residents being eligible to play all stars was listed as an advantage to playing Dixie Softball.

Softball has enjoyed success as a member of the GRPA. The 2004 10u team had the only undefeated team in rec. department history in winning state. In 2006, the 12u all stars finished state runner up.

In recent years, 10u finished state runner up in 2014. History was made for 8u when they finished state runner up in 2016, the best finish for the division in rec. department history.

It was made again in 2018 when that team won the division's first district title. They, along with 10 and 12u divisions all made it to state, another first in rec. department history.
