Region champion BCHS has been busy getting ready for their first round playoff matchup against Metter. At yesterday’s coaches meeting, the Royals great regular season was recognized.
As part of 3-AA All Region selections, Bleckley had both the pitcher and player of the year. Those honors went to sophomore Brody Little and senior Lane Kitchens respectively. Head coach Brad Davis was named 3-AA Coach of the Year.
In total, BC had eight all-region selections. Here is the entire list, announced Monday via the team’s Twitter. 3-AA Pitcher of the Year- Brody Little. 3-AA Player of the Year- Lane Kitchens. First team. Carson Waters- Shortstop. Jack Fernandez- Third Base. Andrew Thompson- Utility player. Steven Knighton- First base.
Second team. Pitcher- Tripp Purser. Right field- Ethan Hulsey. Game one of tomorrow’s first round state playoff matchup starts at 4 pm with game two to follow 30 minutes later. The *if* game is scheduled for Thursday at 5:30 pm.
