CTAE/CTSO achievements recognized.

Bleckley County High School held their yearly CTAE/CSTO awards program April 16. Many of the students recognized completed a CTAE Pathway. Completing a pathway requires students to complete a series of 3 courses in a department and pass the End of Pathway Assessment.



Currently BCHS has the following pathways: Agriculture Mechanics Systems, Forestry Management Systems, Forest Mechanical Systems, Horticulture and Forest Science, Therapeutic Services/Patient Care, Therapeutic Services/ Sports Medicine, Business & Technology, and Human Services - ServSafe.

FFA will recognize their members and competitors at their silent auction and end of year program May 16.



FBLA recognized the following students: Officers: Jordan Schronce, Jillian Green, Olivia Williams, Maisi Corbin, Nick Smith, Alex Nesbit, Amanda Kight. Region 5 Officers: Jillian Green and Jordan Schronce. Business Achievement Awards: Jillian Green – Leader Level, Olivia Williams – Leader Level, Maisi Corbin - Future, Business, and Leader Levels. Community Service Awards: Maisi Corbin - Community, Service, and Achievement Levels. Jillian Green – Achievement Level, Jordan Schronce – Achievement Level.

Competitor Awards: Maisi Corbin - 1st in Region and 4th in State - Computer Applications. Hugh Cairney - 5th in Region Business Calculations.



Allyson Burke - 2nd in Region and 8th in state Database Design & Applications. Macey Haley, Miranda Pearson, and Southern White - 2nd in Region Entrepreneurship Team. Maisi Corbin, Jillian Green and Jordan Schronce - 3rd in Region Graphic Design Team. Bella Williams and Cassidy Sanders - 1st in Region Hospitality Management Team. DJ Yearty - 3rd in Region Management Decision Making. Hugh Cairney & DJ Yearty - 3rd in Region Marketing Team.
Allyson Burke - 1st in Region Political Science. Jillian Green and Jordan Schronce - 2nd in Region Publication Design Team.



Emily Allen and Brooke Krieg - 4th in Region Social Media Campaign Team. Miranda Belflower - 2nd in Region Spreadsheet Applications. Juliet Cairney - 2nd in Region Word Processing. Jadazia Clark - 5th in Region Sales Presentation.

FBLA Honors Cord Recipients were Allyson Burke, Jillian Green, Macey Haley, Megan McDaniels, Miranda Pearson, Brooke Krieg, Alex Nesbit, Jordan Schronce, Southern White, Bella Williams, and Caitlin Woods.

HOSA recognized the following students: Alexis Bowen top 15 in Medical Photography, Alicia Brooks: 10th Job Seeking Skills, Mallory Sears: 7th Community Awareness, Emily Youngblood:7th Community Awareness, Haley Wilson: 7th Community Awareness, Quadravious Johnson: 5th Job Seeking Skills. Quadavious will be representing Bleckley County HOSA at the International Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida this summer where he will compete with HOSA members from all over the nation in Job Seeking Skills.

Each year at the beginning of the year students receive a points sheet that they use to track activities that they complete in HOSA throughout the year. Students who receive a 100 or more points are recognized for their hard work and dedication and their senior year if the members have documented 400 or more points, they can earn a HOSA cord for all the time and effort they have put in to HOSA.

The following members received 100 points for this year: Emily Youngblood, Harlie Corner, Mallory Sears, Olivia Williams, Breann Bohannon, Clara Rickerson, Veronica Lee, Lydia Belflower, Alexis Bowen, Nina Beth Mickle, Jalexia Taylor, Gabe Miller, Fatima El Jeaid, Kate Maddox, Kimberly Chatham, Chloe Mullis, Casey Garnto, Hannah Fennel, Halie Whitaker, Karla Lopez, Stephanie Sapp, Logan Veal, Meredith Evans, Anna Johnson, Ansley Abney, Maisy Smith, and Quadravious Johnson.

The following members have earned over 100 points each year while in HOSA and now as senior are receiving a HOSA cord to recognize their dedication and hard work: Lauren Taylor, Brittany Smith, Alicia Brooks, Cami Long, Amanda Goetz, Carlie Long, and Casey Garnto.
