The Lady Barons had a 2-4 region record going into Thursday’s home game against Swainsboro. With the next three games being against East Laurens, Jeff Davis, and Dodge County, BC needed a win to keep any playoff hopes alive.

Riley Haley had ten strikeouts in the first four innings. She scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth. Marley Jarrell followed with an RBI single, all part of a five-run inning. Taylor Watford scored on a steal of home plate in the sixth.

Haley allowed a walk in the seventh but struck out the final batter as BCMS won 6-0. She struck out 16 and also went 2 for 3. Watford and Addison Hill each went 1 for 2. The Lady Barons play at East Laurens September 9. Game time is 4 pm.
