A season of high hopes and expectations began for BCHS as they opened competition season Saturday at West Laurens. With a mix of returning and young talent and a routine featuring high difficulty and the most tumbling in years, the belief is this could be a special year.
Bleckley was the second of ten squads to compete. As it was a first competition, there was both good and bad. Motions were sharp and crisp. Tumbling looked good as expected. Not all single base stunts went up. While no stunt groups fell, there was timing issues and not all flyers pulled all positions. And while the pyramid did go up in the end, there were issues during transitions.
When results were announced, BC finished third. Just four points separated first through third places. The belief was that there was nothing that couldn’t be fixed with practice.
