"Operation Christmas Child" is an annual outreach where shoeboxes of gifts are sent to children in countries worldwide. It was started by Franklin Graham, founder of Samaritan's Purse.

Many local churches will be or have held "shoebox packing parties" to be sent off. But individual boxes are also welcomed.

You can learn more about what should be packed by going to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/

Suggestions include a "wow" item (IE: stuffed animal, soccer ball), clothing, craft supplies, and school supplies. Lakeview Baptist Church is serving as the drop-off location for all boxes collected.

Boxes can be dropped off at Lakeview, 303 Lakeview Church Road the week of November 18-25 at the following times.

November 18- 6 to 8 pm.
November 19- 3 to 6 pm.
November 20- 4 to 6 pm.
November 21- 6 to 8 pm.
November 22- 4 to 6 pm.
November 23 Noon to 4 pm.
November 24 2 to 8 pm.
November 25 11 am to 2 pm.

From there, collected boxes will be carried to a shipping location where they'll be labeled and shipped to over 100 countries.
