Strong finishes propel BCMS to sweep versus East Laurens.

Players battle for a rebound.


It was the last home game before Christmas as BCMS hosted East Laurens. Both the Lady Barons and Barons used strong finishes en route to victories.

Ter’Nazia Elvine scored with seconds left in the second quarter to give the Lady Barons a 22-7 halftime lead. Leading 34-16 going to the fourth, the Lady Falcons got within 36-23. BC answered with a 10-0 run to end the game. Elvine and Ke’myah Anderson each had 12 points. Myjayla Stanley added 10 points.

The Barons jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and were up 27-12 at halftime. EL though hung around and was within 12 at one point in the third quarter. Omari Jackson hit a three to begin the fourth. Bleckley outscored the Falcons 16-5 in winning 50-26.

Jackson had nine points. Markeze Brown led with 14 points. BCMS has their final games before the break December 16 at Dodge County. Tip time is 4 pm.
