A Demons player tries to keep Ty Williams from scoring.

As has been the case several times in recent years, the Royals took on Warner Robins in a Bear Brawl semifinal Saturday night. Though BC hung tough with the former state champion team, they couldn’t overcome a bad end to the first half.

Jhamir Marshall battled past this double team to score.

Amarion Blackshear’s second quarter three cut a six-point deficit in half. The Demons though closed 14-5 to lead 32-20. Bleckley would trail by 17 points in the second half, each time they’d score to stop the proverbial bleeding. However, they could never get deficit under 10 points until a Blackshear three in the game’s final minute.

Ethan Hulsey lays one up.

BCHS lost 58-49. Blackshear scored 12 points. Shontavian Manuel had 18 points. The Royals will take on Houston County for third place Monday at 5:30 pm. The Lady Royals lost to Warner Robins Saturday morning and play Peach County Monday at 10 am.
