Bleckley CIS/FC celebrates national mentoring month.

On January 31, CIS/FC and Bleckley County Middle School honored our volunteer Mentors with a dessert party in celebration of January being National Mentoring Month. Mentors, mentees and guests enjoyed delicious treats, lively conversation and special time to reflect on how important the mentoring experience is to our youth.

The CIS/FC Mentoring Program currently has matched 14 mentors and 12 mentees at BCMS. Together they have shared over 141 volunteer hours since August 2019! Mentees wrote heartfelt letters explaining how much their Mentor meant to them. We had the letters laminated to serve as a reminder to each adult what gifts their time, talent and love really have meant to their mentee this year!

If you would like more information on becoming a CIS/FC Mentor, please contact Gretchen Tuck at 934-7270 Ext. 8002 or email her at gtuck@bleckleyschools.org
