So much so that Diana called the manager, Patrick Taylor to share the story. He relayed the story to owner Ali Momin. It was from that an instant friendship was born as well as plans for a special day for Allie at the Cochran restaurant.
That day was February 1. . Allie was the manager of Cochran Dairy Queen. She was trained on running the cash register, working drive-thru and how to create some of the soft serve treats that the restaurant chain is famous for.
The restaurant donated 20 percent of sales to Allie and her family to help with costs for her medical treatment. Ali and Patrick put together an eventful day with a bouncy obstacle course outside, face painting, balloon animals and there was a costumed unicorn, Allie's favorite creature, dancing around. Allie got her own manager's uniform too.
People came from all over and have reached out since to Allie and her family.
