Raider players run at Amarion Blackshear as he shoots.

BCHS still had something to play for in Saturday’s region consolation game against Northeast. Avoiding a first round trip to perennial power Thomasville. Though the Royals were close for three quarters, another bad fourth sent them to fourth place.

Terrance Rozier squares up to shoot.

Despite losing Ty Williams in the second quarter due to an ankle injury, BC took a 22-20 lead to halftime. The Raiders used a 6-0 burst to break a 27-27 third quarter tie. It was the fourth quarter where the Royals faltered, being outscored 19-6 as the Raiders won 55-36.

Ethan Hulsey sunk this jumper despite the double team.

Amarion Blackshear had 14 points. Bleckley will open state at Thomasville February 15. Tip time is 7 pm.
