Bleckley County Middle School has been named a "Capturing Kids Hearts" National Showcase School. The announcement came from the Flip Flippen Group in a video posted Friday.
BCMS was one of three schools in Georgia to receive the honor for using teaching methods from the "Capturing Kids Hearts" program. Principal Carla Thrower gave credit to teachers and students in an email.
"I would really like to give all of the credit to our teachers and awesome students! This is something we have been working on for the past three years and our wonderful faculty and staff have made this happen!"
She added, "We will continue to implement strategies given to us by the Flip Flippen Group in order to make us an even better school." She their they shared the Flip Flippen Group motto, “ If you have a child’s heart , you have a child’s mind."
