Though some were aware a win at home versus Swainsboro would clinch a region title for BCHS, it wasn’t really discussed. The focus was on winning games as it had been all year. That focus helped secure a region title.

Addison Hill receives the ball.

BC took a 5-0 lead after two innings. They scored three
more in the third. Riley Haley’s two-run single capped a five-run bottom of the fourth in a Lady Royals 13-1 win that secured the Region 2A, Division 1, championship.

Marley Jarrell gets under a pop fly.

Haley was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI. Jordyn Krieg was 4 for 4 with 3 RBI. Addison Hill was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI. Lyric Stephens went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Rebecca Bowling went 1 for 2 with a double.

Kneeling L-R: Emmie Williams, Kemyah Anderson, Jordyn Krieg, Rebecca Bowling, Sierra Fransioli, Kaylee Rae Barrs. Standing L-R: Coach Kenton Haley, Marley Jarrell, Kenna Bowman, Ter’Nazia Elvine, Addison Hill, Riley Haley, Lyric Stephens, Head coach Haley Holloway.

Bleckley plays at Dublin September 27. Game time is 5:30 pm.
