Track teams finish in top four at state.

BCHS track was in Rome this weekend for the state finals. Both teams finished fourth overall. There were several good individual and group finishes.

Both the girls and boys 4x800 teams broke the school record for that event. The girls won state.. The team was composed of Claira Lynch, Lauren Kitchens, Tristen Crosby and Ella Gibbs. The boys finished fourth. Team members were: Logan Camp Caleb Darsey Luke Churchwell, and Briggs Dominy.

Gibbs won the 1600 meter run, Lynch finished eighth. She and Tristen Crosby both set PR’s. Churchwell won the boys 16t00. Darsey finished fifth. Gibbs won the 800 meter run. Lynch finished fifth and set another personal record. Churchwell won the boys 800.

Gibbs and Churchwell each claimed their third individual championships in the 3200. Darsey was fifth for the boys. All results are courtesy ga.milesplit.com
