The homestand for BCHS continued Thursday afternoon against East Laurens. In what was very much a pitcher’s duel, a big hit helped the Lady Royals earn another late win.

It was 2-1 after an inning thanks to a Ter’Nazia Elvine two-out double. Both teams matched 0’s until the fifth when the Lady Falcons tied the game with two outs. In the bottom of the seventh, Nyra Waters and Jada Davis singled with one out.

Davis took third on a wild pitch. She came home on Marley Jarrell’s single as BCHS walked off the Lady Falcons 3-2. Waters was 2 for 2. Elvine was 2 for 3 with two doubles and 2 RBI.

The homestand continues tomorrow when BC will make up this week’s postponed game against Jefferson County. It starts at 4:30 pm.
